W.P.Coat is a versatile new Water Repellent Coating from Mekab Inks used by converters of paper and corrugated. It is an economical and easy to run coating with or without dilution. It is FDA-compliant for direct food contact, repulpable and recyclable.
Utilizing a new chemistry, Mekab Inks has formulated new W.P.Coat to minimize or eliminate foaming and separation issues. The new coating exhibits excellent water beading and printability and is cold set gluable with most adhesives.
W.P.Coat can be applied in-line on the corrugator from the wet or dry end, with a rod or blade coater, or offline. It can also be applied by flexo.

The above are a water base acrylic emulsion which is specially formulated to give properties of water resistancy. The film properties after complete drying gives water resistancy. It is water soluble product and 100% food grade.

W.P.Coat is used for:
W.P.Coat provides high levels of water resistance and good moisture resistance for kraft paper. It protects food products from excessive moisture, freezer burn, and sticking. When diluted for mill application, it is an economical sizing agent. Gluability with hot melt adhesives is excellent, but cold set gluing is not recommended.
